The Effects of the Ungodly Compromise
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Everyone faces compromise each day of our lives. Some compromise has no moral issue at all, it’s a choice of the good for all. Are you willing to just let it go if it isn’t heaven or hell choice?
But when compromises ask you to devalue the word of God? Yes, the word which you know God has instilled in you to live by, as your moral compass? This is when you will have to search your soul, mind will and emotions for the heart of God?
You must choose to stand and follow God’s direction, which way you chose to go to? Ungodly Compromise will have you believe you’re all in when you have allowed the influence of the world to direct your decision! Godly Compromise can show you either you are all in with God or trying to be both in God and out. Unfortunately, with ungodly compromise, you may be the last to know you have compromised your faith, your character and your love for God! When God had a “come to Jesus meeting” the people did not even know they were out of the will of God!
Matt 6:33 seek first, the kingdom of God, seek first for God’s heart not your own. Ungodly compromise will have you look at others faults before you look at your own heart! Ungodly compromise will have you go through the religious acts, without conviction! Gifting’s, energy, and passion will keep others from knowing you are in ungodly compromised, but God knows! He knows the truth and will not leave you alone! It is said over 200 times in the Bible God told his people to turn back to Him! In other words, repent, come back to me, it was an ungodly compromise which took you out of my will!
2 Chronicles 7:14-15 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
God promises if we repent, he will heal us, he would redeem us, and he would set us right in Him! Let not your heart grow weary well-doing or in repentance! When God asks you to turn back to Him this where your true future begins, again!
Zechariah 12:10 10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
When we repent then God will bring a new level of grace and supplication to restore and empower His children, all He asks is return to Him! The Judgement of God should change your mind, but the grace of God changes the heart to be empowered for God’s glory!
When we are at our worst, God is at His best working on the back side of the cross to draw us back to Him, His love and word!
Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. -Psalm 15
