Determined Devotion

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Col. 4:2 (NIV)

Many times maybe you like me make your requests known to God out of what we feel we need. Yet God is more concerned about our lives being devoted to His call and will, which should bring glory to Him and expand the Kingdom of God! For He says He will meet all my needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19

I pray as believers, we will be devoted entirely to Him in all our life and more in our daily prayers. When we pray, may it not be for what we want or need, but to know Him for who He is, not just for what He gives. Jesus may we know You for who you are, to seek Your face not Your hands for what you give! Forgive us for the times we just wanted to be taken care of instead of taking time to sit in your presence to soak in your love and word.

Determined Devotion Prayer:

Dear Jesus, I am committing from this time forth my time with You to be determined in devotion to You. To know You and what You did to change the history of mankind, and to turn me from a helpless and hopeless, unloved person to be a person of hope, joy, and motivated by love!!
