5 Ways to Keep Your Resolutions

Sheila Zellers • January 3, 2020

Happy New Year!

It’s a brand new year and we are excited to share five ways to keep your resolutions to God and yourself!

1) Set the Alarm Clock 10 Minutes Earlier:

Psalm 63:1-3 (KJV)God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.”

2) Memorize One Bible Verse per Week:

Psalm 119:11 (KJV) “ Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

3) Create a Prayer Journal:

Habakkuk said  “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

4) Share the Gospel Daily With At least One Person:

Mark 16:15(NLT)  and then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone!”

5) End Each Day with Prayer and Bible Reading:

Psalm 113:2-3   Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forevermore.    From the rising to the setting of the sun,the name of the LORD is praised.

When your heart is to fulfill God’s desires for your life, you will find the empowerment you need to stay the course! When you are weak, He will be your strength, when you have questions, He will give you the answers! His Word will be the path you can follow to find His glorious life and to keep your heart resolute to obey Christ daily.

Last week the Lord-awaken me to say “it came upon a midnight clear”, over and over and again in my prayer time, I kept hearing this phrase? I was intrigued, so I looked up the history of the song. Only to find it was not a song at all but a poem later put to music.
