Peace Is Yours Today; Don’t Forfeit It!

Don’t forfeit your peace because of trouble & fear.

John 14:26-27 "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to  you, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

God's Peace is:

P -

aid for by God through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Peace is not an option with God, for His Son paid for it to be in your life.  We have peace with God when we have peace in Jesus.  He paid for everything!  All sin, all rejection, all sickness, everything you face today, good or bad, God has the answer.  Let His peace be the umpire of your life. 14 For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (Ephesians 2:14 KJV).

E -

ternal, man cannot give it to you.  27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to  you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Fear will rob you of your peace; faith will build your spirit man to be all God called you to be.  God has given peace through His Son Jesus (John 14:27 NKJV).

A -

biding, when God sent His Son it was to have fellowship with each one of His children.

He is an abiding Savior.  He is not only a God of peace; He created it!  He is the God of peace.  16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, Parakletos, An intercessor, consoler: - advocate, comforter that He may abide with you forever (John 14:16 NKJV).

C -

omforting, He is the God of comfort.  No other god can bring you this peace.  Buddha,

Muhammad, they bring fear and discomfort. God is true peace.  His Holy Spirit is the Comforter, and nothing can separate you from His love . (Romans 8:35 MSG ). 35 Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ's love for us?  There is no way!  Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: 

E -

ncourages, us to go on.  In spite of conflict, we can have peace.  We have a sense God is with us.  He is here to guide, to comfort, and to love through the best and the worst of times.

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)   You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

In Greek the meaning for peace is to be at quietness, rest, or to set as one again.  There may not be absence of war in your life right now; but your soul, mind, will, and emotions will not be moved; as you put your trust in Jesus Christ.  You will know whatever comes or goes, Christ is with you!  He will direct your life for such a time as this; when you allow His peace be the umpire of your life, your can have assurance trouble or fear will not steal you peace of God.

No matter what, God’s peace is always here!

Philippians 4:6 (NKJV)  6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
