Are You Being Tested?

Sheila Zellers • August 16, 2019

God wants to visit you and refresh you each and every moment of your life. He wants to be with you and to move in you for His glory. He is not wanting to play hiding go seek with His children. Why does God test people? Sometimes because of disobedience, or lack of faith, or because He has a greater work to do in you and for you. Most of all there is always greater things for God to do if He tests you. He desires to build our faith in Him, He wants His children to realize He is giving us the answers before the test comes. God is wanting us to pass the test for HIS glory to grow in our faith.

Five ways to pass the Test of Faith!

  1. Realize life is a test!  Everywhere man, Satan or self is there and there is always going to be choices to move with God or with man. In this life you will have trails and tribulations.

  2. Put God before everything.  God will test you to see if you want Him over everything else offered in the world? Greater is he which is in you than He that is in the world.

  3. Understand Satan is a liar and a loser . Don't be deceived. He may set up roadblocks but God will give you the strength to overcome as you lean on Him.

  4. Persevere.  God knows what is in your heart and what it will take to get the greater call out of you. He will test you to get the great diamond cut in your life for His glory.

  5. Stand on His Promises instead of the problem.  There is always going to be cares and circumstances that seem impossible to accomplish; but with God all things are possible when you put your trust in God and His Word to do what He predestined for His glory.

Leaning on the everlasting arms doesn't mean God does all the work. Leaning on the everlasting arms means you are trusting God in every area of your life for HIS glory to come to the Father Son and the Holy Ghost!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fails. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Last week the Lord-awaken me to say “it came upon a midnight clear”, over and over and again in my prayer time, I kept hearing this phrase? I was intrigued, so I looked up the history of the song. Only to find it was not a song at all but a poem later put to music.
